Description
A photographic print with a matte, water-resistant finish, mounted on hardboard and delivered ready to hang with no framing needed — sizes up to 20x30cm can also stand on a table or shelf. You upload your own file and position it in our online tool; we print it and make the hardboard.
Eighteen sizes are available across square, portrait and horizontal formats. Where canvas gives a soft, textile surface, hardboard gives a flat, precise one — better suited to graphic work, fine detail and typography.
Your image is printed as a photographic print with a matte, water-resistant finish, then mounted onto a sturdy hardboard panel. The matte surface keeps reflections to a minimum, so the image reads clearly from any angle.
The result is a panel that stays perfectly flat, has no frame to interrupt the image, and is light enough to hang on a plasterboard wall without special fixings.
Print quality starts with the printing itself. Your hardboard is a true photographic print:
- Print base: professional photographic paper with a matte, water-resistant finish.
- Colour: continuous-tone photographic reproduction, with smooth gradients and natural skin tones.
- Durability: the water-resistant finish protects the print, and the hardboard keeps it perfectly flat.
You upload your file (JPG or PNG) and position it inside the panel outline using our online tool. The print file includes 3cm on every side that wraps around the board edges to the back, and you choose how the edges are made:
- Wrap my design around the edges: the outer 3cm of your image goes around the edges to the back. A dashed line shows what stays on the front.
- Mirror the edges: your whole image stays on the front, and the 3cm on every side is filled with a mirror image of its edges, so nothing of your design is lost.
A wall preview composites the design above a sofa at true relative scale, so the size decision is made before ordering rather than after delivery.
Hardboard is the sharper of our two decoration products. Choose it when the image has fine detail, strong lines or text that needs to stay crisp, or when you want a flat, contemporary panel rather than the softer, textile look of canvas.
