Description
Classic Harmonica is a handmade accordion-fold piece that opens out in one continuous movement, showing every photograph at once instead of one spread at a time. It sits somewhere between an album and an object: small enough to hold in one hand, but designed to be unfolded and stood up.
Photographs are mounted on the interior by us, so what arrives is finished rather than a kit to assemble. Seven sizes are available across square, horizontal and vertical formats.
The exterior is finished in linen or velvet from our standard swatch range, so a Harmonica can be matched to an album or box ordered alongside it.
Linen gives a matte, structured surface; velvet gives a softer, more formal finish. Endpapers are available in white or black. Decorative ribbons can be added as a closure and as a detail when the piece is displayed folded.
Each piece is folded, mounted and finished by hand:
- Seven formats — square 10×10, 13×13 and 15×15 cm; horizontal 10×15 and 13×19 cm; vertical 15×10 and 19×13 cm.
- Accordion fold, so the piece opens flat in a single continuous run.
- Photographs mounted on the interior panels by us, in the positions you specify.
- Covering material wrapped and turned at the edges, with no raw board visible.
Because of the small size of the Classic Harmonica cover, the personalization is always placed in the center of the front cover.
You choose how many photographs the piece carries. The base configuration holds four photographs on the front run. Six can be fitted on most formats, and photographs can also be added to the back run — two if the front holds four, four if the front holds six.
Each position is uploaded separately and labelled, so our workshop knows exactly which photograph belongs in which panel. Nothing is left to interpretation during production.
The Harmonica gives a client something an album cannot: the whole story visible in one open gesture, and a piece that can be left standing on a shelf rather than closed on it. Add the matching keepsake box and it becomes a complete gift rather than an extra.
